Shay’s other shoulder has been operated on and the surgeon says it went well

Shay underwent surgery on his injured right shoulder in London on Wednesday night, and early indications are that the operation went well. Shay picked up the injury during the warm-up for the Europa League tie against Aris in Thessaloniki last Tuesday. At first he felt a minor twinge, and recovered to take his place on the bench. But as the pain in his shoulder increased through the week, it became clear he would need to see a specialist, and following a consultation this week, he was advised that (more…)

Shay injures other shoulder and needs to see a specialist to access what to do

Shay has apparently hurt his other shoulder in training and needs to see a specialist about any action necessary to get himself fit again and in contention at Man City.

Man City are away tonight in the UEFA cup against Aris Salonika in Greece. I kind of hoped that Shay would get a game in goals, but just saw that he’s on the bench. Pity. Keep your chin up Shay!

Will Shay go to Liverpool in the Summer?

As soon as Pepe Reina announced this week his thoughts concerning a move away from Liverpool, people are starting to move the pieces around the board, and come up with “Can Shay go to Liverpool?” citing the Kenny Daglish connection with Shay in the past? What do you think? Will City let Shay go to a rival club?

Shay glad to get a game against Wales

Shay got to play for Ireland against Wales last night in what turned out to be a comfortable 3:0 win in the end of Shay’s old friend and Newcastle colleague Gary Speed, who had his first taste of Managerial action for Wales last night. Full match report from the Irish Independent here

“Anything is possible” Manchini when asked about if he would replace Joe Hart with Shay

Asked after the Birmingham 2:2 result last night, Manchini was asked if he would consider replacing Joe Hart with Shay after it could be argued that Joe should’ve stopped the first goal after a minimum tough from the Birmingham striker… anythings possible in football and let’s hope for Shay sake at City too. Torres gone from red to blue
