City take no points from Aston Villa

It was billed as a strikers duel between Dzecko and Bent, and Bent with one touch of the ball sealed the win for Villa giving City a lot to chew on. It’s by no means the end of the World but it is 3 points that have gone letting Arsenal jump to second and City drop to third.

Shay will be allowed to leave if a replacement is found – Manchini

Apparently Manchini has now made clear that Shay will be allowed to leave if an appropriate replacement for Shay is found prior to him leaving. “We can’t take the same risk as last season,” Mancini told The Guardian. “We have seen two or three [possible options] but Shay doesn’t decide this situation. I have talked about this with Shay and he told me that, if we have a chance to take another goalkeeper, [he would like to go] … but finding a goalkeeper like Shay?“
I guess it’s easy to point out that finding a replacement of Shay’s calibre willing to come and sit on the bench is probably not going to be an easy proposition. It probably is a case of wait and see what comes out of this January transfer window, but I personally don’t see it happening. But in football, you NEVER know what’s around the next corner or game.
