“German pain from Spain!”
posted @ 11:04 in [ World Cup ]

on their way home.

Germany seemed though to be afraid of the Spanish wizardry and in the first-half particularly, it was almost one-way traffic. But Germany did get chances to score and who knows, if one of the chances had’ve went past Cascilla’s, it might’ve seen Germany come out of their shy cocoon and perhaps it would’ve been ‘Game-on’, but at the end of the end, I have to credit Spain for really taking the game from the first kick-off by the scruff of the neck, and everyone in Germany feels, we were beaten by the better team.

It always leaves you wondering how Germany would’ve done, had their highest scorer in the tournament Müller not been suspended for a questionable ‘yellow-card’ in his last game. Müller’s young but he’s not afraid of anyone, and it seemed you just need players like that when you’re facing the Spain pain.
