Will Ireland have the goods on the night to not only contain the French attack but to actually press on a get a victory? Surely having Italy scamper a 2:2 draw last week will give Ireland every confidence to do the job. No-one can deny France’s strengths, or shall we sum in up in two words “Thierry Henry”? His single goal in the last fixture in Ireland was enough to separate the winner from the loser. We all hope though that Dublin and then Paris will be a place of joy and exhilaration. Who doesn’t want to be in South-Africa? Then step down now. To quote Shay “I don’t want to be left at home watching that on TV, when my team-mates are out there playing for their respective countries. It’s the biggest Tournament in the World and EVERY professional wants to be there”.
