There’s so many clichés used in football. Sometimes you listen to one interview, you seem to have heard them all and yet we never tire of hearing about the next game with the “must win, big game for us, three-points”, etc. sentences. Tonight is a game where you want those ‘must-have 3-points’ to become a reality.
Wouldn’t it be nice if Man City don’t just scrape a win, but actually win emphatically, perhaps a little like Arsenal today beating folks with 6 goals, etc. Surely 6 goals ought to guarantee anyone 3 points and as many clichés as you can handle?
Surely Adebayour is back and raring to go. I don’t sense any arrogance in terms of Man City’s approach. Everyone knows the Premiership is not a place for hand-outs. But Man City I think will give the occasional team a roasting, but I don’t think it will be tonight. I think everyone will be happy about 3 points a 0:1 win?
Would you be?
