Have a look at the Match highlights on Man City’s website and see the save Shay had to make to keep the score 1:0. It was what we call a ‘worldy’ which means it was world class. So much credit often goes to the strikers getting the goals but in a 1:0 victory, Shay also deserves a share of the plaudits for a save like that. CLASS. It seem that not only are City’s strikers up for a great season but the whole team. Shay seems really fired up about this season.

For me, Shay’s top 3 saves are:
1. From Kevin Phillips’ 20 yard curling shot at Sunderland.
2. From Thierry Henry’s close range volley at Newcastle.
3. From Zinedine Zidane’s free kick in Ireland.
