I’ve always been impressed with Sir Bobby Robson and thought the demise of Newcastle began when he was sacked as Newcastle’s manager after bringing them to a top 5 finish almost every year.
He always held Shay in high esteem saying that he always wondered why in his tenure as Newcastle’s manager, he never understood why nobody made a bid in all that time for Shay? He thought surely the big guns want to bring them to their club, etc. as he was utterly convinced that Shay was the best in the Premiership. We always thought the same! 
Thanks Sir Bobby for all the great memories and times. Your legacy lives on.
