KOLO Toure signs from Arsenal on a 4-year deal
posted @ 13:05 in [ Newcastle Utd ]

I must say I’m relieved to see City adding some depth to their defensive department. Kolo Toure is a seasoned professional with Arsenal and if he can keep Arsene Wenger happy for 8 years, then he’s more than welcome. Sounds like a class player.

It seems that City are also still pursuing Lescott at Everton but they are unwilling to let him go at the current bid. I’m imagining though that City have more than one iron in the fire and there could be 1-2 more additions from which the Press know nothing about. This is exciting times.
I remember talking to Shay about the City revolution and he said when he first talked with City before signing, that their ambition was “frightening”, which was Shay’s way of saying “very very exciting times ahead”.

Watch this space. City will need almost this season to blend these class signings together so I personally wouldn’t over-burden the expectation bank this season except to say, they should be able to go anywhere and pick up points.

Here’s a video by the way on Arsenal’s FC website on Toure’s talking about his “perfect footballer”. Let’s you hear the man speak. What do you think?
