As far as we know, there is no deal yet with Man City and Newcastle Utd. I think the irish press report yesterday was perhaps overenthusiastic about a deal being done, so we’ll have to wait till the 2nd of February to see if Shay remains at Newcastle or there is a bid that satisfies all parties, etc.

Talking to man city at the moment so shay should become a man city player if terms agreed.

im a passionate Newcastle Untited supporter and to be honest i dont blame Shay for going. He is by far the best keeper in the premiership if not the world. Of course he will be a big miss to Newcastle. I would just like to say thank you Shay for what you gave to the club over the last 11 years of service.

I thought shay was looking to win something? Man city? He must have been talking about money! Was always a big fan of shay’s but he has walked out on us in our hour of need!!!!

I believe that Shay has sacrificed a lot for Newcastle, n it’s a bit unfair for not letting such a player with quality to move to a club that can achieve more.
Yet, I really believe Newcastle will be in a great trouble and may even have a great chance to get relegated without Shay.

Shay,
Good luck with the rest of your career I only wish it could have been with us at NUFC. I pray that the move you have made is good for you but I have my doubts. I would love to know the real reason you have left. You have been literally our savier (saviour) for so many good years. Hats off to you Sir and may WE stay up to welcome you back to St. James next year.
Thanks for all your sweat and tears (along with ours) over the past 12 years. You really are the tops. So very sorry you had to leave. Cheers Pat
