There’s still another 4 days left in January but it seems the rumours don’t stop coming. It appears according to what you read that Man City are interested in signing Shay. We’re getting emails saying “Anything less than £10 million would be an insult” and “Newcastle need Shay to stay up, etc.”
I’m genuinely glad to read that Newcastle fans are behind Shay staying. I’ve not received a single email saying “Glad when he’s off” but rather the complete opposite, today even getting an email saying “I just can’t imagine Shay playing in a different team, it would be weird!”, etc.
We’re clueless here at the site, so we’re watching and waiting like everyone else. It sure keeps everybody here on their toes this winter!

Shay Given is the best goalkeeper in the world, but we shouldnt keep him, back when he clearly has had enough. It takes a lot for such a loyal and disciplined player such as Shay to feel that enough is enough. with all the chaos and confusion going around at st. james, who could blame him for wanting stability and the possibility to consentrate on football instead of all the chaos around the magpies.
Real Shay fans support him what ever he desides to do. Let Shays will be done!
