Poland got the better of Ireland in Dublin with a surprise start inside 3 minutes to give a shock lead. Then starting the second half they got their second ‘quick’ goal, so it will have been a tough night for Shay and the team in front of the home fans. Ireland did have a late flurry and looked to possibly snatch a draw but Poland took it to 1:3 with Ireland get a consolation goal at the death. At least it was only a friendly and perhaps had it not been, I genuinely feel that Poland would not have left Dublin with 3 goals and a three pointer. But that’s football.
