We’ve got a MANAGER again … well till the end of October!

Joe Kinnear the former Wimbledon, Luton and Nottingham Forest manager has been GIVEN the interim post of Newcastle’s Manager and a job of steadying the ship. This is… good news I believe to get somebody in the gap left by Kevin Keegan. Blackburn Rovers will not welcome this news as their three points tomorrow at St. James looks now a little more uncertain than perhaps a 7/4 betting odds. Perhaps you’ll only get evens now on Newcastle turning out a result. It’s something that Newcastle’s players are more than capable of doing and hopefully we’ll have evidence of that come tomorrow night.

He said of his appointment:

“I am very excited about the challenge in front of me at Newcastle United. Results have not been great of late but there is a lot of quality in the squad and I am very confident the players are capable of climbing the league table. Newcastle United is a great club. When I was in charge of Wimbledon I always remember the passion of the fans up there and how great a stadium St James’ Park is. It is a big challenge but one I am really looking forward to.”
